Justin Bog has been working on more than one side of the book, writing, and publishing industry for over thirty years. He began behind the counter of a large University bookstore throughout his undergraduate years, earning an English degree from the University of Michigan. From there, Justin pursued an MFA in Fiction from Bowling Green State University. And then began a long apprenticeship in several smaller bookstores, eventually becoming a manager of Chapter One Bookstore in Ketchum, Idaho. He’s been writing and submitting his own fiction to publishers and writing contests, winning honors over the years. In 2012, Justin published Sandcastle and Other Stories as an indie author. Within a week his first collection of dark fiction appeared on two best seller lists at Amazon, and secured a publishing deal with Green Darner Press for the paperback version, which was published in January of 2013. Green Darner Press published his psychological thriller, a novella titled The Conversationalist, as an ebook original in May of 2013. Sandcastle and Other Stories was singled out as a Best of 2013 book by Suspense Magazine, and has been highly recommended by The Huffington Post, The Seattle Times, and The San Francisco Book Review. It is also a Finalist for the Ohioana Book Award 2014. His forthcoming psychological drama, also a novella, titled A Great Distance, will be published in 2014. Justin was the Content Editor and a Pop Culture Correspondent for the eMagazine In Classic Style, which is on hiatus, and will return sometime in the next year with more great travel and leisure content. When Justin isn’t writing or editing, he’s outside walking his two long coat German shepherds, Zippy and Kipling.
